- Abstract
The author reflects on the many tasks and responsibilities she assumes as a teacher and as president of the Society for College Science Teachers. She reveals how she learned many things from the past presidents of the society, including Brooke Pridmore and Marvin Druger. She offers brief overview of her formative years as a biologist. She notes the fact the college faculty are having a hard time keep updated with issues relevant to their profession due to the many functions they perform. She cites that the primary mission of the society is to advance college science teaching.
