- Abstract
The article talks about China's economic development and how that has influencing a lift in Chinese research infrastructure and research in science and technology in the past 15 years. It talks about breakthroughs made such as discovery of nanotwinned diamond with unique hardness and stability, first mapping of the hydrogen bond and discovery of topology-driven magnetic quantumphase transition. To encourage students the government has also set research directions.
