- Authors
Rolla, A. R.
- Abstract
The article discusses the effective use of insulin as a glucose lowering agent to manage type II diabetes, at the time of diagnosis of the disease. The American Diabetes Association has suggested its use as a treatment of uncontrolled diabetes with catabolism in patients with fasting plasma glucose (FPG). The article suggests use of insulin in patients with newly diagnosed type II diabetes for a short term only.
