- Title
Does Stereotactic Core Needle Biopsy Increase the Risk of Local Recurrence of Invasive Breast Cancer?
- Authors
Kwo, Sophia; Grotting, James C.
- Abstract
The article comments on the recurrence of breast cancer in stereotactic core needle biopsy. The study on breast conservation treatment with radiation therapy states a corresponding survival rate with modified mastectomy. It shows images on the preoperative view of the core needle biopsy site with bruising. It also indicates a recurrence in the skin after skin-sparing mastectomy and reconstruction.
