- Abstract
There are various charged particles in electrical insulating films. These include dipoles, trapped carriers and mobile ions. These trapped carriers and mobile ions influence the electrical properties of conduction and breakdown. The article proposes a new technique of thermally stimulated electrical measurements using a temperature gradient to investigate the space charge. The technique is to measure the open-circuit voltage of current maintaining a constant temperature gradient across a sample during heating.
