- Abstract
Objective: To analyze the social determinants influencing child mental suffering. Method: This is an integrative review with searches conducted in April and May 2019, through three electronic databases. In the initial selection, 70 articles were found, which after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria were restricted to nine primary articles that were considered for research purposes. Results: It was noticed that the social determinants corroborate the child mental suffering, among them the traumatic experiences and family disorders. Such determinants negatively influence the lives of these children as adults, if they are not properly perceived and treated. Conclusion: It is also observed that such theme is little discussed in the scientific environment in the emphasis that is placed in this study, but it is noteworthy that over the last years have gained worldwide notoriety for its importance in the social and health environment.
