- Abstract
The article presents a study on the effect of grazing in cattle on the occupancy of threatened and cryptic rail in the norther Sierra Nevada foothills of California. The study made use of detection-nondetection data to examine relationships between occupancy and habitat covariates. The result of the study shows the lower marsh vegetation cover at grazed marshes than ungrazed marshes.
