- Abstract
The article presents a study on the comparative life history correlates recovery potential and extinction risk of vertebrates. It says that the estimates of life-history traits for teleost fishes were gathered for 47 species and the data on chondrichthyans were collated for 82 species. Results show that maximum population growth rates differed among chondrichthyans, teleosts, and mammals, in which the rate was significantly affected by interactions with both life-history trait.
