- Abstract
The article presents a study which assesses the effects and thresholds of nitrogen (N) deposition on terrestrial plant diversity protection across the latitudinal range of main ecosystems. The study uses the global distribution of G200 ecoregions and the estimated rates of atmospheric N deposition to identify the risk to plant diversity in all main ecosystem types. Result shows that one of the main plant diversity degradation risks is the atmospheric N deposition in G200 ecoregions.
