- Abstract
Tudor Vladimirescu's Seal Representing his Portrait. The author presents one of the seals that belonged to Tudor Vladimirescu, the leader of the Revolution of 1821. The seal has an oval-vertical shape (1.6 x 1.8 cm) in carbon black on a document from September 1, 1810. Emblem of a character represented standing, wearing locks, a hat, a long tunic and short boots. In the raised right hand he holds the sword above his head, and with his left hand he holds the scabbard, fixed in the middle of the belt. To the right and left of the character are the Cyrillic words T - Ð", - an abbreviation of the owner's name: Tudor. We also subscribe to the opinion that the image in the seal would be a real portrait of Tudor Vladimirescu.
