- Title
The Doctrine of Analogy among the Thomists: A Debate Renewed.
- Authors
CULLEN, CHRISTOPHER M.
- Abstract
The article discusses the debate over the doctrine of analogy among the Thomists where participants generally agreed that analogy involves identifying the similarity among difference and the predication of terms, between sheer equivocation and metaphor and other. It outlines that analogy is a logical and semantic doctrine nor operative in metaphysics and natural theology. It notes the interpretation of Cardinal Thomas de Vio Cajetan of the issue which fell under attack.
