- Abstract
The article examines the court rulings of a letter of credit case in the Nareerux Import Co. Ltd.'s case versus the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. It states that the Ontario Court of Appeal held the company's importation of shrimp due to issues concerning the letter of credit. The author comments on the court policies wherein the company's non-compliance is a result of the bank's failure to notify the seller that letters of credit are cancelled.
