- Abstract
The article discusses an archeological research study that explores the ancient topography, roads and paths network of Malam-jabba valley of Swat, Pakistan. It notes that Buddhist visual iconicity composed most of the cultural heritage of the valley while boosting its rock carvings and inscriptions that serves as center in proslytism of Buddhism and on the dissemination of Gandhara art. Moreover, the contribution of the identification of historical routes on the political, economic and religious history of the valley is also emphasized.
