- Abstract
The article presents a study on non-pharmacological interventions for treating moderate to severe inpatient depression. It discusses the need to improve care given in acute inpatient depression treatment services amid concerns such as lack of people to talk to, over-reliance on medication and boredom, some non-pharmacological approaches that led to enhanced outcomes including cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy and behavioural activation. Also noted is chronotherapeutics.
