The article discusses clozapine-induced interstitial nephritis has been recognized as a serious problem of clozapine therapy. It outlines eight cases of clozapine-induced acute interstitial nephritis (AIN) and clinical implications as regards to monitoring renal function. It proposes that renal parameters are integrated into current clozapine monitoring protocols.
