- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 49-year-old Brazilian man who was admitted to the hospital due to mild dyspnea, chronic productive cough, weight loss, headache and fever. The patient medical history include HIV infection. The patient was diagnosed with fungemia due to Schizophyllum commune wherein he survived and made a good recovery after antifungal therapy.
