- Abstract
The article discusses queer film and media pedagogy. The roundtable participants are people who believe that there has been a change in GLBTQ film and media studies since the early 1990s. Kirsten Moana Thompson talks about teaching queer film and theory. Roy Grundmann mentions the concept of "queer" and how queerness is represented on television. Kara Keeling focuses on her development of interdisciplinary syllabi for teaching media and cultural studies. Michael Bronski says students' backgrounds and expectations concerning "queer film" have changed. Terri Ginsberg comments on the challenges of introducing new or sophisticated concepts. Yasmin Nair began teaching queer pedagogy in an environment that was antiqueer and racist.
