AUTHENTICITY IN ROBERT MUSIL'S MAN WITHOUT QUALITIES.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the portrayal of an existence without the density of particularity in the novel "The Man Without Qualities," by Robert Musil. The novel allegedly arises from a crisis in moral reflection ensuing from a commitment to the standpoint of value-neutral objectivity. The doctrine of elements according to philosopher Ernst Mach and the realist position of philosopher G. H. von Wright are examined in relation to the novel.
