- Abstract
This article aims to analyze the characteristics assumed by the policy of exclusion of the Communist Party during the government of José María Guido in Argentina (1962-1963). It studies the way in which this exclusion was implemented in the national politics and the labor movement, considering that in both fields, the government sought to curb the growth that communism had been experiencing since 1955. This is a work of social history that seeks to account for the context in which the coup took place, the government's political guidelines, the role of the military forces and the situation of the labor movement, focusing on the activities of the Communist Party and its relationship with other actors, particularly Peronism in the trade unions, with which it engaged through its labor grouping: the Movement of Unity and Trade Union Coordination (MUCS).
