The article discusses a study which compared mortality in present and previous studies of lung cancer patients. Topics discussed include histological diagnosis of the patients used in the current study, the most common reason for intensive care unit (ICU) admission, and the finding on the presence of oncogenic mutations between the present and historical cases.
