- Abstract
The articel presents case studies that describe a discrepancy between transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (TCD) and intracranial pressure (ICP). The patients were monitored through TCD which showed high pulsatility index (PI) or low diastolic velocity (DV) and ICP. It suggests that the diversity of brain injury mechanisms may interfere in the relation between TCD values and ICP. It concludes the TCD is a valuable tool in neuro-intensive care unit (ICU) patients.
