- Authors
Cummins, John S.
- Abstract
The article presents the author's reflection on the steady service of Bishop Floyd L. Begin in the development of the Graduate Theological Union Library (GTU) in Berkeley, California. He narrates his first encounter with the bishop at the chancery office of the Diocese of Oakland. He mentions how 1964 was a continuing interest on the part of the bishop because he was joined on the board of trustees by Father Paul Starrs, Father Kevin Wall, and Father Harry Corcoran. He cites the committee established by the bishop where he and other members agreed to continue the GTU as an institution.
