- Abstract
The article discusses the recurring characters of forgotten man and woman which was used by the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in his campaign rally speeches prior to the election to fuel his political victory. Trump has promised to massively cut taxes for the middles class which he referred to as the forgotten people who have built the country. The concept of the forgotten man was noted to be the centerpiece of the political constituency of former President Franklin Roosevelt in 1932.
