- Abstract
Brucellosis is an anthropozoonosis of both public health and economic significance in most developing countries. A total of 138 suspected bovine blood samples comprises of 123 cattle and 15 buffalo samples were collected from organized farms of Western Rajasthan (Bikaner, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Jalore) as well as rural house hold, Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex (TVCC), RAJUVAS, Polyclinic Animal Husbandry department, individual owners and villages adopted by CSWRI, Bikaner. An overall seroprevalence was observed 1 (6.67%) in buffalo samples by RBPT while in cattle 15 (12.20%) and 23(18.70%) by RBPT and ELISA. None of the buffalo sample was found positive by ELISA.
