- Abstract
The article discusses economic globalization and U.S. judicial assistance to private international arbitration under Section 1782(a) of the U.S. Code as of 2014. According to the article, the total monetary value of international arbitration claims grew by over 100 percent between 2011 and 2012. Dispute resolution mechanisms in the shipping, energy, and oil and gas industries are mentioned. Various American legal cases are examined, along with U.S. federal courts and private arbitral bodies.
