- Abstract
The article addresses the argument among legislators concerning the flaws in executive compensation such as practices that are not appropriate with long-term performance at banks. It inquires whether executive compensation at banks before the global financial crisis was predominantly short-term oriented. It also explores on the adoption of two international schemes, the Principles for Sound Compensation Practices, and the Principles for Sound Compensation Practices: Implementation Standards.
