The servants of the nobility were a key player in the government of Castile from the 15th to the 17th centuries, and their importance is not reflected in the few studies that address the issue. Based on massive use of archive documentation, this work aims to bring to light the role of the Jewish converts in this space of power, from which many families ended up forgetting their past and entering the privileged classes.
