- Authors
Lison, Dominique; Huaux, François
- Abstract
The article reports on the importance of sedimentation of nanoparticles in experiments with upright and inverted cell cultures in determining cellular dose in in vitro cell studies according to Eun Chul Cho, Qiang Zhang, and Younan Xia from the Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. The relevant dosage used in in vitro assays is described to be dependent on the site and mechanism of action. The experiment by Xia and co-workers to assess the sedimentation effects on cellular uptake is detailed.
