The article discusses concerning issue disciplining lawyers for incivility by Canadian law societies which identifies the lawyers whose legal practices violate ethical and legal standards. It informs that civility regulation has the capacity to regulate lawyer zeal and the self-regulation of the profession. It mentions that civility regulation controls unethical harassment of a witness during cross-examination and prevent them from professional misconduct.
