- Abstract
The article discusses the disagreement among the U.S. courts on the issue concerning right of a debtor in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceeding to dismiss the case in the face of an opposing motion to convert it to a Chapter 7 liquidation proceeding. Topics discussed include law's governing debtor's request under the Section 1307(b) of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in "Marrama v. Citizens Bank of Massachusetts' case.
