Hamilton, Marissa N.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the ruling of the California Supreme Court on the court case People v. Sanchez regarding the proper application of the hearsay rule as it relates to the scope of expert testimony. A strict bright-line test issued by the Sanchez court is mentioned. It cites that experts are allowed by the California Court to testify to hearsay statements as the basis for their opinions on the grounds that such statements were being offered for a non-hearsay purpose.
