- Title
Thoughts on the Intersection of Rape and Rassenchande during the Holocaust.
- Authors
Katz, Steven T.
- Abstract
An essay is presented on the relationship between the Nazi concept of Rassenschande, or racial defilement, which referred to sexual relations between Aryans and non-Aryans, and the rape of Jewish women during the Holocaust of 1939-1945. According to the author, Nazi racial ideology justified the rapes by characterizing Jewish women as less than human. Details on the relationship between rape and murder in the Holocaust are also presented.
