- Abstract
The article discusses some early American natives. The author begins by talking about the physical characteristics of the natives of the area that was then known as the Republic of Mexico. The author mentions Mound Builders, the Aztecs, and the Toltec populations in Middle America and Mexico. A band of fisherman known as the Aztlan that lived on an island in a lagoon on the west coast of Mexico are discussed. The author explains how the Aztlan migrated from the island to the mainland. The article also mentions Montezuma II, Emperor of the Aztecs.
