- Abstract
This document contains several poster presentations on various topics related to disability and healthcare. The presentations cover strategies used by young people, both with and without physical disabilities, to promote their participation in meaningful activities, caregiver strategies to support community participation among children and youth with disabilities, the accessibility of childcare services in Canada for children with disabilities, the physical and psychosocial impact of Frame Running on individuals with mobility limitations, the health-related quality of life in children with arthrogryposis, a study protocol for developing a causal diagram for cerebral palsy, discharge readiness and its impact on post-discharge coping difficulty and resource utilization in children with cerebral palsy, and the conceptualization of burnout from the perspective of parents of children with complex care needs. The study on burnout among parents of children with complex care needs found that it is characterized by long-term and recurring stress, a deterioration in physical and cognitive health, and a constant state of heightened alertness and control. The findings can help raise awareness about burnout in this population.
