- Abstract
Popular art in Mexico faces great challenges with disloyal international trade. Mexico's material culture as we know it and our cultural, material traditions and centennial traditions, are in risk of being faded away of our daily life and social imaginary. Some institutions give the first steps in building databases that allow relying on a craftsmen's poll. A small research group is planning to come across diverse solutions to the problem. We believe that the problem solution necessarily go through the building of a scientist social network, that can act as a powerful prospective instrument for a national design plan oriented to preserve our intangible values, of our very rich varied material culture, as well as our craftsman and their knowledge.
