The book "Archives, Access and Artificial Intelligence. Working with Born-digital and Digitized Archival Collections" deals with the challenges of evaluating, acquiring, and cataloging digital archival collections. Various approaches are examined and explained using examples. The book addresses the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for the automated processing of large amounts of data in archives. Concrete projects that illustrate the use of AI in archives are presented. The book advocates for a new discipline of archival science and emphasizes the importance of well-curated source data for AI applications.
