Curriculum and the Geographic Cure.
- Authors
Nissen, Leslie
- Abstract
The article discusses the geographic cure and its influence on curriculum studies. It identifies experiences of Children of Alcoholics (COA) and its effects on their learning and their lives. It is stated that the author uncovered in herself a concern about the ripple effect of the geographic cure in the classroom. The author opined that grabbing the elusive external quick fixes in life does not offer a geographic cure in the name of standardization.
