The article describes the case of a ten-year-old female patients with dumbbell mesenchymal chondrosarcoma. The patient has a six-month history of sciatic pain and numbness in the right leg. His magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a spinal dumbbell tumor at the L4 level. The tumor was not derived from nerve roots but rather from the dura mater at the root sleeve.
