- Abstract
The article titled "Commentary: US health care spending and pediatric radiology: a look into the data and the mirror" provides evidence that pediatric radiology services are a minor contributor to overall health care expenditures in the USA. The study shows that pediatric imaging accounts for about 3% of total pediatric health care expenditures and 0.2% of total health care expenditures. Despite this, there is concern that efforts to limit spending on health care could target areas that are crucial for high-quality care and not a significant source of savings. The article emphasizes the importance of advocating for access to high-quality pediatric imaging while being aware of financial barriers to care.
