- Abstract
The article presents a commentary on a 2012 paper by Srivastava and colleagues, titled "Inundation Studies for Nagapattinam Region on the East coast of India Due to Tsunamigenic Earthquakes from the Andaman Region." It deals with the issue whether the 1941 Andaman earthquake did generate a damaging tsunami that impacted the islands and the eastern coast of India. It cites some evidence showing that the said earthquake might not have been tsunamigenic.
