- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the impact of pesticide contamination on the mortality of endangered gray bats in Boone County, Missouri. Study used gas-liquid chromatography and electron-capture to quantify pesticides, and Finnigan model 4000 gas-liquid chromatograph/mass spectrometer to confirm residue samples. Results reveal no experimental evidence to prove the lethal effects of heptachlor epoxide and dieldrin pesticides to bats.
