- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to determine polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) residues and hepatic aldrin epoxidase (MFO) activity levels in Larus cachinnans or the yellow-legged herring gull. The study used Larus cachinnans specimens collected from central and north eastern Italy in 1984 and statistical analysis was performed on an International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) computer. Results show that MFO activity in the liver of the bird do not depend on the inductive effects of PCBs.
