- Abstract
One female specimen of Antichloris eriphia (Fabricius, 1777) (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) was collected in 1986 in a warehouse in Budapest, Hungary, amongst banana shipment. The species has been introduced to several European countries with banana cargo. One dead female specimen of Cissura decora Walker, 1854 (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) was found in a factory in North Hungary, in a parcel of spare parts. This is the first documented occurrence of a Cissura species in Europe. One male specimen of Siproeta epaphus (Latreille, 1813) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) was collected on ornamental flowers in 2018 in Margit Island, an island park of downtown of Budapest. The specimen had most likely escaped from the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden. The voucher specimens are deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum. All the species recorded are native in the Neotropical region, and are unlikely to be established in Europe, therefore they cannot be regarded as members of the fauna of Hungary. With 8 figures.
