- Abstract
This article discusses the use of vitamin D as a potential treatment for warts. Warts are difficult to treat, and current treatment options are not always effective. Vitamin D has been shown to have immune therapeutic properties and can inhibit keratinocyte proliferation, which is a therapeutic goal in managing warts. Studies have demonstrated the beneficial effects of intralesional and topical vitamin D in treating resistant warts. However, the efficacy of vitamin D treatment can vary depending on the specific subtype of HPV involved and other factors such as dose and duration of treatment. Further research is needed to fully understand the potential of vitamin D in wart management.
