- Title
An Experiment on Participation in a Norwegian Factory.
- Authors
French Jr., John R. P.; Israel, Joachim; Ås, Dagfinn
- Abstract
The article presents a field study of employee participation in planning technological changes in Norway. The authors aim to repeat a previous study conducted by L. Coch and J. R. P. French in the U.S. using a more precise theory of participation and more empirical methods. Secondarily, they purport to find out if the general results of the Coch and French experiment will hold in a different culture. They defined participation as a process in which two or more parties influence each other in making certain plans, policies and decisions.
