- Abstract
The article "Animated Short Films: Aesthetic Innovations and their Film Didactic Implications" examines the aesthetic and technical innovations in animated short films. The animated short film is a combination of animation film and short film and is characterized by its length and production methods. Despite initial limitations, the animated short film enabled artistic freedom of expression and led to numerous aesthetic forms and styles. The article describes various techniques such as the stroboscopic effect, stop-motion technique, and computer-generated animation. It also highlights the importance of online platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo for the dissemination of animated short films. Finally, film didactic implications are discussed, emphasizing the need for a film-historical education to understand and perceive animated short films.
