- Authors

- Abstract
The article reports on the effects of response set and psychological knowledge on answers to the personal orientation inventory (POI). The POI has been the most widely used instrument to measure changes toward self-actualization among participants in growth and therapy groups. The present study attempted to be more definitive than the previous studies. This study used three groups of Ss and two response sets. The Ss were separated into groups on the basis of the degree of their psychological knowledge in general and self-actualization knowledge in particular.
