The article discusses the issue of race and class segregation in Atlanta in the 1950s to the 1970s and how Baptist churches responded to these issues. It focuses on Baptist churches categorized into Southside "racists" namely Capitol Avenue and Kirkwood in Southeast Atlanta versus Northside "hypocrites" Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist.
