- Abstract
The article discusses the occurrence of cryptogamic vegetations including bryophytes and lichens in the plant habitats of Blakeney Point, England. The plant-habitats fall naturally into three divisions including dunes, shingle-banks and salt marshes. It provides an overview of the cryptogamic vegetation of both the dunes and the shingle banks. It presents the difference of the cryptogamic vegetation of the dunes at the Blakeney Point and England's dunes on the west coast, which has lower lime-content. Moreover, A survey is conducted that shows bryophytes is more abundant on shingle banks rather than in dunes.
