- Abstract
The author comments on the article "Local Independent Unions and the American Labor Movement," by professor Leo Troy. According to the author, professor Troy's criteria did not provide any basis for distinguishing between unions. The author further argue that the article tends to obscure significant differences within this group of labor organizations. The author went on to say that professor Troy has proved too much, and in fact the unions behind the Iron Curtain meet all of his specifications.
